  1. Yes, loving the REGULAR word much better.

My tradition proposes daily devotions. I do try but you are right about the negative associations that can come in if you forget too many days in a row.

There is a part of me that is just not able to do anything daily except breath, eat, sleep, and use the facilities.

In many ways I am not suited to my craft via my BTW coven. I am just not a good rule follower etc and it was why I took so much time to finally initiate. I still have my doubts.

I've come to the conclusion that for me, regular practice is the most realistic.

But what is the function? The purpose? For me it is about being mindful of my life, my world, my self, my connections, just one in any given very busy easily distracted day. Making one brief mindful connection. It helps and I do notice it when I've been missing the little personal ritual.

FWIW, I do it different fairly regularly. Most days I do light a candle and go through my litany of names and blessings and, occasionally, requests. But some days it's turning my face to the sun, feed the crows, blessing my meal, whatever. In the end it is about stopping and smelling the roses. Being mindful.
